Rose entered the cafeteria. Normally, the staff eat in their lounge, but she felt like being around other people today. Her blond hair was fluffed around her shoulders, framing her hazel eyes over her camel tan security uniform. Her badge and ID were pinned to the left breast pocked. Her radio was clipped to her belt and the walkie talkie piece was clipped to the epilat of her shirt. Her security cap was on her head pulled down so the brim slightly covered her eyes.
She sat down at one of the tables that was reserved for chaperons while the residents ate their lunch. Dinner was usually served here as well. She took a bite of her hamburger and watched everyone with interest. She had turned down her radio so it cackled softly, not disturbing anyone.
There were a range of kids here. Supernaturals, and gifted. Some were unique, like the anthropomorphic students, but that she learned was a rare occurrence here. She sighed and picked up a French fry. Rose was clairvoyant and was able to tell about a object, place or person just by touching it. She had her limits of course, but that didn't stop her. She reached up and tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear, wondering if anyone would come into this place.
The residents were split. Some were against the war, while others were for it. She had met Nick on occasion, though charming, she hated what he had started. There was no reason to. Sure, the human didn't understand what was going on and made a huge mistake, but did that actually warrant a war? Rose didn't think so.
She sighed and continued to eat her lunch.

She didn’t like this place, not one bit – no sir, Nuo didn’t want to even take another step. Of course that wasn’t up to her at the moment. Being led forcibly, her hands bound and her eyes blindfolded, the gifted teen was not really here of her own accord. Having been grabbed and dragged from her home (okay, so technically it wasn’t her home), there was just no way Nuo could like it here. She had already made several attempts to escape the normies who had her, but other than being mentally gifted, she was still just a normal eighteen year old girl – she wasn’t superman.
“Now then, welcome to the academy,” a gruff voice said as she was half-led half-dragged through the practically empty hall. Disoriented from her lack of sight and thoroughly stressed, Nuo just made a low growling noise in her throat. “I don’t feel very welcome,” she snarled bitterly, but the man didn’t react. “You’ll find that there are many other special people here, just like you.” Oh joy, more “special” people, Nuo was just soooo happy about that – they couldn’t see it, but she rolled her eyes. “And right now it is meal time, so,” he paused, both in his walking and talking, “I trust you’ll behave once I take off the blindfold.”
She had half a mind to scramble his brains as soon as that blindfold was removed off, but they were careful – everyone avoided making eye contact. Upset, confused, and just generally pissed off, Nuo’s hands were freed and they pointed out the door she should go through. Luckily for everyone, Nuo was fairly hungry. “Another time…” she muttered, not willing to admit any sort of defeat.
The slim teen opened the door to the cafeteria cautiously, blinking and squinting her eyes as they adjusted to the bright light. They never liked to do things nicely, did they? Well, it wasn’t like she gave them much of a choice… Her stomach growled, interrupting her anger, and Nuo decided to stuff her issues with this place to the back of her mind – at least until after she’d eaten. Grabbing the nearest tray, not even caring what was on it, Nuo headed for an empty table…only there weren’t any. Great.
Looking quite uncomfortable, the young girl stood in the middle of the room. Other than the fact that she stood out just by standing, nothing else drew your attention. She was wearing a very plain white tee with a pair of blue jeans and sneakers, nothing flashy. It was easier to be forgotten if you didn’t stand out in the first place. Of course standing there, looking around the room like a lost puppy, did kind of make her stand out…yeah, just a little.
OOC: sorry it's so...blah. i'll put it in a template later, gotta get on the road now <3

Rose looked up at one of the girls. She smiled and scooted over a bit.
"Hey you're welcomed to join me for lunch" Rose called to her cheerfully as she waved a bit.
Rose picked up the feeling that this girl was not thrilled to be here. Hell no one was. Even though Rose was head of security, most of the time the residents were fairly good and didn't need much patrolling. Now Rose simply became a friend rather then enforcer, but that doesn't mean there won't be times when the enforcing part won't come into play.
Rose smiled at the other girl.
"I'm Rose by the way" she offered her in a friendly tone.
The cafeteria had begun dwindling now, as some of the residents began leaving for the evening to head back to their rooms. There was no curfew really, but some were probably heading back to chill out in the common room or just relax with their friends.
"Too bad the humans couldn't send us to Hawaii eh?" she added lightly as she waited for the girl to approach her. She hoped she wasn't one of the snippy sorts, but that didn't mean Rose couldn't handle herself if need be.
